Why Is My Google Review Not Showing Up – Google My Business Listings

If you’ve been wondering why your Google Reviews aren’t showing up, you’re not alone! Many customers have reported that, for some reason, their google reviews are either taking a long time to appear or simply aren’t showing up at all. There could be a number of different reasons why this is happening, but the most common is that Google has marked some of your reviews with their advanced spam filter. Alternatively, there might be issues with your Google My Business listing that’s preventing your reviews from showing up.

1. You’re not signed up for Google My Business.

If you’re not signed up for Google My Business, you won’t be able to collect customer reviews. To sign up, head to https://www.google.com/business/ and follow the instructions on the screen. Once you’re signed up, you should start seeing reviews come in within a few days.

2. Your listing information is inaccurate.

If your business location is inaccurate, customers may not be able to leave reviews for you. To fix this, log into your Google My Business account and update your business information. Be sure to include your complete address, phone number, and website URL.

3. You have moved locations recently.

If you’ve recently moved locations, it’s possible that your reviews moved with you. To fix this, log into your Google My Business account and update your business information with your new address. Once you’ve updated your information, your reviews should start appearing again within a few days.

4. You have duplicate listings.

If you have multiple listings for your business on Google, it’s possible that your reviews are spread out across all of them. To fix this, log into your Google My Business account and delete any duplicate listings for your business. Once you’ve deleted the duplicates, your reviews should start appearing again on your primary listing within a few days.

Why Is My Google Review Not Showing Up – Review Format

There are several reasons why reviews are removed from the page. Most of the times, missing reviews are removed for policy violations like spam or inappropriate content. Google don’t reinstate reviews that are removed for policy violations. Learn more about Google’s prohibited and restricted content for reviews.

1. Reviews with links and URLs.

Google does not allow reviews to contain links and URLs to other websites.

2. You’ve been paying for / incentivizing reviews.

Under no circumstances should you be buying Google reviews. If you’ve been paying for or incentivizing reviews, you will have your reviews deleted. Even worse, Google will penalize your business in search rankings.

3. Reviews from current or former employees.

Google reviews are meant to represent the genuine experiences of your customers. If a review comes from a current or former employee, it will be removed since they come from a biased point of view.

4. User deleted review.

It’s also possible that for whatever reason, the customer decided to delete their own Google review. The best way of finding this out is by contacting the customer directly and asking them.

Turn disappeared reviews into motivation

When your Google reviews disappear, don’t panic. Instead, let it motivate you to collect more feedback and social proof from your customers.
